Colab vs Binder

Any thoughts on which is better, especially for GPU usage/access? I like the Binder environment but it is slow to load.

I don’t think binder offers any GPU tbh. It’s just general purpose notebook environment, which you can use for anything, not only ML-related notebooks.

On the other hand, with Colab, you can even use TPU (which, when properly used, gives even better performance) in your notebooks. It’s more ML-inclined, but I think you could still do everything you can do in binder :stuck_out_tongue:

Binder doesn’t offer GPU.

And if want to use GPU use colab. You will fall in love with colab as much as you use it.
Its integrates with Google Drive and free GPU/TPU are some of the biggest perks.

FWIW, Gradient also offers a free GPU plan. Additionally, you get some free persistent storage and a bit more control over the environment than Colab. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions
